My Best 5 Game Trailers of the Year

As readers of this blog know, I am a massive gamer. Inspired by IGN's best trailers of the year I have decided to do my own list. So here we go:

5. Indie Games Summer Uprising Trailer:

Tons of great indie games done to awesome chip-tunes. It worked too because I went out and brought 'Doom & Destiny' and got a trail of most of them.

4. King of Fighters XIII Trailer:

I always loved the KOF series but I didn't play the last couple mainly due to lack of interest. When XIII was first announced at the arcade I was hyped and as we got closer to the console release I got even more excited.

3. Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 Full Trailer:

If I already did not wanted this game, this would have done it for me. The epic music, the art style, all the characters in action. My only gripe is the lack of Storm in the trailer but eh, that is a minor blemish on a masterpiece of hype. The original Marvel vs Capcom 3 full trailer was also great but I wanted to be fair and not flood the top 5 with just 'one' game.

2. Transformers: Fall of Cyberton Trailer:

I'm a massive fan of the original Transformers tho I love the movies too (unlike some people). I was stupid excited to see this trailer tho because it uses the original designs but had a movie feel. To top it off we have Grimlock, my favorite Transformer of all time to end it in style. Whilst I felt the music was a bit too close to the feel that Gears of War evoked, it's still awesome.

1. Dead Island Launch Trailer:

This trailer truly blew my mind. It was so artistic, so poetic and so emotionally draining. The music reminded me of some of the best scenes in 'Lost', the twist and how it was cut. It made me want all trailers to be THIS good. It's a shame the game wasn't as epic but it had mighty big shoes to fill, especially after this.

Well Happy New Year everybody, I hope 2012 has just as many great trailers and games!

He Mad! Hulk Tips & Tricks

Welcome to an ongoing research into Hulk's tips and tricks in Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3.
The title is actually a play on the known saying 'u mad', I thought it was funny.

Utilizing the anytime throw tech bug/ glitch, Hulk can abuse Gamma Quake to make himself safe from most punishes. Since Hulk's hypers are not affected by 'mashing' after you commit to the Gamma Quake simply hold forward and tap heavy multiple times. Now Hulk will break any throw attempt and in some cases if the person tries to throw you late, the Gamma Quake will still hit them and even if they block they'll still be forced to eat the chip damage you intended them to eat.

Now be careful throwing this out on people with invincible hypers and the anytime throw tech bug/ glitch will probably be patched out soon so enjoy it will you can.

More tips and tricks to come.

Strange Days: A Dr. Strange Combo Video

Behind the Visions: Strange Days

With another combo videos means another edition of ‘Behind the Visions’. This time we are going to explore ‘Strange Days’ my Doctor Strange centric combo video.

Intro: The minute I heard Doctor Strange could reverse projectiles with his hyper ‘Seven Rings of Ragador’ I knew I had to see what happen if the good Doc tried to reverse his own reversal. This is the end result. I tried to X-Factor and do another Seven Rings to reverse the reversal but I could not do it on my own. Might ask someone to help me do it for the upcoming Community Combo Video I am producing (shameless plug).

1. Bread and butter with a couple of assists to help extend the damage. I like how Strange can do a grace of hogoth whilst he calls out the Wesker assist and still juggle. Its very similar to what Dormammu can do with his spells. I also had to chuck in an Eye of Argmigato just because. Note: Both Wesker and Skrull are wearing their alternate outfits, yay for pre-orders.

2. Something else I had in mind from day one. Seeing how Strange has a pillar-esque hyper and Dormammu has a pillar move I wanted to see the two side by side. Both teams are also Strange related teams (Dorm, Strange and Shuma on both sides).

3. Nice and simple combo involving Ghost Rider assist and Eye. I realize in editing that I started a lot of my combos with standing medium, heavy, I should have varied it a bit more.

4. What better than one doctor? Two of them. Hidden Missiles helps extend the combo and I like any combos that use Mystic Sword.

5. What to do if you are cornered with Strange? Get a crumple and reverse the situation with a well timed teleport :-D

6. I wanted a way to set up the three graces crumple beam move and I figured Nemesis’ ‘Bio Hazard Rush’ was a nice way to get it. Also yes I could of ended it with a Spell of Vishanti after the Astral Magic BUT I wanted the cinematic ending and he was already dead anyway.

7. I actually had a couple crumple stun follow up combos but I like this one because of the mixture of stuff hitting Dorm. I mean, ice, missiles, arrows and a beam? Ouch.

8. First of my ‘Seven Rings’ combo. I wanted to actually see ‘Seven Rings’ use in combo videos and in un-expected ways. Before the combo, the other Strange actually set up a red grace all the way on the other side of the screen and he then set it off. My Strange uses ‘Bolts’ (which is the only time I used it in this whole video), the stun from it is considerable and can be cancelled into Seven Rings which reflect the other Strange’s fireball BEHIND me and set off the ‘Seven Rings’ cue X-Factor to cancel the rest of the animation, mystic sword, launch, Red Grace OTG, Frank West assist and a good ol’ Spell of Vishanti to seal the deal. I am pretty proud of this combo.

9. I intentionally followed up a very impractical combo with a very practical one. Thanks Wesker assist again. This is pretty much the combo I previewed in my Smash Hulk Smash! Video.

10. Again another Seven Rings combo, this one a bit more practical. How many Morrigan’s love to do ‘Shadow Clone’ and then spam fireballs? The Doctor has a cure (lol bad pun I know) for that. I love how the clone gets beat up as well, hilarious visual effect and yep, I wanted to show off my Skrull alternate outfit… what?

11. Another situation you see a lot. Doom hidden missile spam, what happens if Stephen Strange is ready for it? Dead Doom. The application of Seven Rings here is very do-able in a match.

12. I love the usage of flight in this combo as well as the abuse of Frank’s ‘weapons of survival’. Also peep the teleport so I can land straight away and do a SoV.

13. Showing the power of Strange’s ability to punish from full screen away, into a modified Impact Palm loop. Also I showed that I can do ‘Daggers’ before a Spell of Vishanti, I just chose not to because this wasn’t a combo video about damage, it was more about style. There are tons of good high damage Strange combo videos out there, I wanted to showcase something different. Hopefully people get that.

Outro: Showcasing an editing trick I want to use more for future combo videos, the switching of the outfits was a nice way to end it. I tried to do it in game (ala Desk) but that takes a lot of effort. I also love the text style used, it suits Strange so well.

Music: I am proud to say this is my very first combo video to feature my own music which I have created specifically for my projects. I have teased this before and I am sad that I wasn’t able to do it for my first video but I do think I made up for it with this one. The name of the first track is ‘Oh Yeah’ (self explanatory lol) and the second track which begins at combo # 10 is called ‘Guilty’. If people like my music, I might upload just the music as well as combos on my channel. I really hope to become a good music producer so this is just the beginning.

The Community Combo Video is next on my schedule so stay tuned for that.

Thanks for reading.

Behind the Visions: Smash Hulk Smash!

Welcome to another addition of 'Behind the Visions'. Basically this is like a directors' commentary about my latest videos. Here you'll find tidbits and nuggets of information about my videos, like why I picked this song, combo and what not.

This 'BtV' is all about Smash Hulk Smash! (video below). I am going to put in brackets what I used to differentiate this from a Vanilla combo video

Without more to say, let's go.

Intro. I kept it short and sweet, the full intro for my company is upload on this blog.

1. I really wanted to see how many f+medium aka 'Incredible Punch' I could do in a combo. Being Hulk's new move in all I wanted to showcase it. I could have did a OTG Gamma Wave into X-Factor into another f+medium but hit stun would not let me do anything really fancy. (Incredible Punch charged and partial)

2. Found out as I made this combo that Arthur's armor break glitch doesn't always cause a hard knockdown state in Ultimate. For example, in the air, he'll get combo'ed like normal. Might need to look into that and see if it did that in the original Marvel 3. With this combo, I wanted to see how many Gamma Crushes I could get. (Air X-Factor)

3. Nice bread and butter combo with no meter. Does 750,000 dmg so it's pretty good. Strange's Eye assist is great for extending combos. (Incredible Punch, Anti-air Gamma Charge follow up causing wall bounce).

4. Nice and easy Touch of Death (ToD) combo on most of the cast. No X-Factor and only one meter used. Yep, Hulk hits hard. (Incredible Punch)

5. Anti- Dark Phoenix set-up. If she has low health, don't mash because it'll cause her to transform after the throw. Make sure the Gamma Charge hits her after the throw and watch the fireworks go out. Also peep Phoenix Wright coming in at the end. I was originally going to use the Hulk sound bite where he got the Phoenix's confused but it did not work.

6. Lot of new stuff used in this one. Strange Eye assist, air X-Factor, Incredible Punch and wall bouncing Gamma Charge. This is also a nice block string set-up as well because Gamma Charge follow up is already plus and you add a Eye to cover you.

7. I love the blue whirling effect as Hulk swings Dante around. Also I showed you can buffer a command throw from his command normal, very nice tech to have. (Buffed Throw damage, wall bounce Gamma Charge and Incredible Punch).

8. Alternate combo ender to combo # 3. By using Eye assist, Hulk can cause a hard knockdown and then start his 'infinite combo' (originally found by Crouching Strong). More on the infinite later.

9. Full charged Incredible Punch only has one frame of armor (despite what some people have said) so I made sure I used it to stop 'that move'. I had to end it with Bionic Arm myself for irony's sake. (Incredible Punch).

10. Air throw and follow ups thanks to assists. Again, this combo can easily be turned into Hulk's infinite combo. Touch of Death from a throw? Scary.

11. Showcasing what might become one of my new teams (The Blue Men Group). Super Skrull's Tenderizer assist is great for locking people down mid combo. (Throw buff).

12. Alternate bread and butter with Skrull assist and full charged Incredible Punch. Lots of hard fists flying around (Incredible Punch)

13. Hulk infinite. Due to the lowered charge times of Gamma Wave, it is a lot easier to perform this on most of the cast. Also a big portion of the new characters fall victim to this so be careful if Hulk gets that starting hit on your Iron Fist/ Nova/ Strange/ Vergil.

14. Fantastic Four tribute combo. There is a lot of Fantastic Four references in this video. First we have Hulk who was a member of the 'new' Fantastic Four beating down Super Skrull, a classic FF villain. We also have Doc. Doom (in his Future Foundation outfit) helping out with 'Hidden Missiles' and later on Ghost Rider (in his Fantastic Four outfit who was in the 'new' Fantastic Four with Hulk). On top of this we have Spiderman (in his Future Foundation outfit) and Wolverine (the fourth member of the new Fantastic Four).

15. Hulk infinite and ToD on Nemesis arguably one of the characters in the game with the most health. That's an X-Factor level one as well. This combo is a reference to the big showdown they had in the Hulk's original Marvel 3 ending. (Air X-Factor)

Outro. Wolverine was 'broken' in Vanilla Marvel 3... now he is just broken... in half.

Music. I have been a big fan of this song since it was used in a hype video for Shadowloo Showdown. I felt it fit the beat down nature of this video but some people have disagreed. I do believe they don't like the song simply because its dub step tho and the genre does has its haters.

Name. I originally planned to use in game vocals mixed with the song. However I couldn't get the blend right and in the end it was very distracting so I just kept the song. I am kind of sad through because the name of the video came from a combo where Hulk said 'Smash... Hulk... Smash' LOL. I will be trying to use my own original music that I have produced for my next projects tho.

Coming Up: 'Strange Days' A Dr. Strange centric video is my next big project. It should be out by the end of this week.

Much more videos to come too including the Cincinnati/ Dayton/ Kentucky community combo video.

Well thanks for reading!

Behind the Visions: Armory

So what will probably be my last combo video for Marvel 3 and the last combo video to be upload to my pigeondrago account, 'Armory' is a perfect way to say goodbye for me.

Iron Man has always been one of my favorite comic book characters and it pleases me to no end that he has had two good movies and a starring role in 'The Avengers'. However I felt my Iron Man combos didn't really do him justice in my first video (Shades of Gray), I knew I had to go back into the lab and come back something a lot more fierce. Hence 'Armory'.

Intro: This will probably be the last time we see the old Apocryphic Visions logo... farewell old logo, you had done me well. BTW that Iron Man pic is top tier, love the vibrant colors.

1. Mid screen, jump cancel combos are an awesome way to kick off the vid, I love how the beat matches the combo hits. Also lol at Hulk's cameo at the end, did not add much damage but I had to show I was still my 'SoG' team.

2. *sob* bye double jump, hopefully IM's quicker fly will be a good trade off tho. Also ending with 'Lost in Nightmares' into Iron Man blowing up the tank is one of my favorite edits in this video.

3. down+Heavy Punch combos!! LOL that move is not worthless after all. Also notice the timing of Iron Man in full glory (red) into his 'Iron Avenger' (blue). My wife really liked that as do I.

4. Combo is done on the blue sky background for a reason oh and Quentin mentioned I did not use 'fly' combos in my last video. Happy Quen? I even did it on your favorite character hehe.

5. In hindsight, this should have been the throw combo I should have done in the 'Shades of Gray' video.

6. I actually had a left over combo from 'SoG' that was similar to this, I however re-did with a better assist, ending. I like it a lot more now.

7. I timed Hulk coming in and 'cry' at the same time. Also smart bomb combos FTW... so stylish!

8. Another 'SoG' left over I revisited, I added a lot more to it and I love all the 'rocks' on the screen, also love how the whole team is used.

9. Death combo, smart bombs for days, showing my team's synergy and ending with the same move that 'SoG' ended with = no brainer for the final combo.

Music Choice: Much like I love Kelis, I love me some Kenna. I am happy to use this song finally in a video even through it took me hours to put the two together. I do not think I have ever had this much trouble finding a song for a video. I went through many other options like songs from the 'Tron Legacy' OST, Kelis again (this time, I was going to use 'Brave') and even Black Eyed Peas' 'Boom Boom Pow'. I am happy with my final choice tho.

Also notice I finally got the aspect ration down so this video appears full screen when I uploaded it on Youtube. No more letter boxes for me! I am happy to say this is looking good for my new big project. Direct capture, no letter boxes... its going to look great.

Well hope you enjoyed it.

Changes

So I have finally decided to bite the bullet and very soon I am going to retire my pigeondrago youtube account. Whilst it was a nice run and it has a lot of subscribers, friends and videos, I feel like that name has ran it's course. >Pigeon< is now a part of my past and whilst the name suited me originally when I signed up for youtube I feel it no longer really represents me. I also feel a slight dis-connect when I tell people my company name is Apocryphic Visions and I direct them my pigeondrago youtube account.

With Ultimate Marvel 3 on the verge of coming out and hot games like KOF XIII, Tekken Tag 2 and more coming out soon plus the fact that I now have direct capture software (working on getting full screen capture, bear with me) and I will be recording combos for those games, I feel it's time to move to the next step. A next step which comprises of a dedicated Apocryphic Visions youtube and address. Another added bonus will be I will be linking it to my apocryphicvisions email address.

One of the first videos to premiere on my new channel will be 'Strange Days' my next combo video project and just like my old channel I will upload other types of videos as well (I actually hope to upload a more balance mixture of gaming and other creative works unlike pigeondrago's 95% gaming output).

The big change is coming and I'll will be making an announcement video and also premiere the new logo for the new era of Apocryphic Visions.

Cheers to the future.

Behind the Visions: Shades of Gray

Well here it is, the official write up for 'Shades of Gray', my first Marvel vs Capcom 3 combo video and my first real combo video outside of Tekken.

Intro: For the first time, I think I have opened one of my videos with my company logo. To be honest I don't have a gif of my logo on my laptop (I know, shame on me!). It works out tho because I do want to premiere a new logo soon. It probably won't be done till my Ultimate Marvel video tho. Anyway, the new Marvel/ Capcom intro more then sufficed and looked awesome as the song opened as well.

Iron Man intro: I was so happy to find a picture of Iron man in his current (movie) armor but colored gray. The worst case scenario was I was going to use a picture of the clunky comic book mark one armor but when I saw this, I knew I was going to use it. BTW that logo? I created that myself with AVS. I really liked how it turned out. Also the page turning transition was an intentional touch to give it a comic book feel, much like how Marvel 3 uses it to the same effect.

Hulk intro: Hulk Gray... 'nuff said.

Wesker intro: I used paint to color the original picture in monochrome to get the gray effect, it turned out pretty good. The combo itself is pretty sweet, (ab)using the Arthur 'broken' armor mechanic, Wesker was able to score a 'Team Hyper Combo' which he normally can't get after a long combo. Also funny to note, Arthur was already dead after the level 3, this was just overkill LOL.

Title: LOL I noticed after I uploaded it that I had Apocryphic Videos presents NOT Apocryphic Visions... however the two are becoming synonymous so I let it slide.

Hulk: I really wanted a combo that involved Hulk's Gamma Quake but not as an OTG hence using the X-Factor to keep the rocks and at the same time have Wesker hit She-Hulk as well. BTW all X-Factors used in this video are level 1, no need for that extra damage boost. Also I timed the line 'technology' to come on as Iron Man appeared. You will notice that link a lot.

Iron Man: Geez Hulk has a lot of health, I needed that final hyper to finish him off even after a level 3, OTG plus level 1 plus assist.

Wesker: I love how Wesker slides into his OTG - Team Hyper, so smooth lol. If you have played me online, this combo would be very familiar to you.

Hulk: On the flip side of Hulk, Mags has no health, the first hit of Proton Cannon done him in. In hindsight, I wish I did the Tilted Proton Cannon because people would be surprised to see even the Titled version still hits after a Gamma Quake OTG.

Wesker: Ahh one of my favorite combos. First, Ammy's Cold Star (or as I call it affectionately 'Cold Star Chilli' (a play on Gold Star Chilli) CINCY stand up!) is one of the most annoying assists so to shut that done with a projectile reversal and hit her and her partner calling her was sweet. Also Wesker's hyper real name is 'Phantom Dance' and I timed it to come on as Kelis' was saying 'Dancing Dancing'. Add the fact that both characters are killed, happy birthday to me!

Hulk: Another one of my staple combos, I liked how the beat was timed with Hulk going into the sky for Gamma Crush. I also think the flame transition was a nice effect especially since Gamma Crush ends with a similar ending. BTW Fuck the Knicks LOL.

Iron Man: Love the Hulk assist, Iron Man repulsor > spread > Iron Avenger back to back. Definitely one of the better combos in the video. Oh and I purposely did not end with smart bombs > Proton Cannon because I have already used it plenty so I did not wanted to over-use that ending.

Hulk: Hulk infinite time, timed with the crazy beat drop. Had to shout out CrouchStrong for finding this trick as well. Again Hulk's Gamma Crush is timed with the beat and I love the little 22 hits before Iron Man came in, a little shout out to the title of the song (lol yep, I was find so many 777 combos, I see number based combos EVERYWHERE).

Hulk: True story, I have never done this combo outside of training mode. I like it a lot tho but you can get so much more damage. Only for style here.

Wesker: Lots of Phoenix players block after they are snapped in... what should you do? Unblockable throw :-D Love how the Gamma Crush saps her whole bar.

Iron Man: Again, shout outs to CrouchStrong to show me how to combo off a Iron Man air throw. LOL for the longest time I would just freeze after I got one, not anymore.

Wesker: I was excited that I actually used Wesker's qcf+SP,SP move then I realized that Wesker's trails have a similar set-up/ combo D'oh! Ahh well.

Song Choice: I love Kelis, she is the reason why me and my wife are together. I, however kind of feel out of love with her for a bit. Her most recent album tho, even through it's a dance album, brought me back into the fold. I highly recommend people to look out for her album 'Fleshtone'. It's a really good (but short) record. My favorite songs on it include "22nd Century" (of course), "4th of July (Fireworks)" (I originally wanted to use this song in another combo video, it didn't work out tho) and "Brave".

So that's that, I hope you enjoyed this walk through. I hope to do more combo videos but I think another Marvel 3 video would not get much attention so I am going to wait for Ultimate and go balls to the wall from day one. Look forward to seeing you there with me.

Preview: 'Shades of Gray'

Here is a sneak peek at one of the combos in my upcoming Marvel vs Capcom 3 Combo Video. I have settled on the title 'Shades of Gray' due to coloring of the characters.

Final product to come!

Announcement: 'Helping Hand'.

So I originally had a couple more 'Helping Hands' planned but I'm so over Tekken 6 right now, I can't be bothered doing them. Sorry fans. I also felt the last couple 'Helping Hands' didn't go down well (tho the first couple are massive hits, go figure) so I really don't see the need to continue doing them.

Another deciding factor is that not many people are actually playing T6 right now so not many people are looking for tutorial videos. It's crazy that now I have direct capture which would make 'Helping Hand' look so much more professional but eh, that is the way the cookie crumbles I guess.

From here on in, I am focus on Marvel 3 and very soon Ultimate Marvel 3.

Ultimate Marvel 3 = Reunited

Sure you can rock this team in Marvel 3 but only in Ultimate Marvel you can add Ghost Rider to the mix!!

I think I might go in the lab and see what I can come up with these guys together. Videos to come, maybe?

Marvel Vs Capcom 3: God Killer

There are a lot of really good Marvel 3 combo videos out there and I hate to not contribute anything 'new' but I really wanted to show off my team's (Hulk/Ironman/Wesker) synergy.

I decided to use Thor because he has the most health of anyone in the game so if this combo can kill him it can kill anyone. The 2nd combo is actually an overkill.

Also whilst it requires 5 bars, you can still kill Thor with a simple modification of the combo and end it with Ironman Heavy smart bomb and Hulk's assist both OTG'ing at the same time. I wanted it to end with Proton Cannon tho for the flashy factor.

No need for X-Factor because Hulk hits so hard! I might record some more combos for a mini-combo video if I come up with some more stuff.

The Great Purge and what's to come.

Yep, I'm back. I decided to take a short break from blogging to let 'Lucky 7' marinate. I have one more 'Lucky 7' video to edit and upload. This one isn't going to be as good as the other two, it is called 'Left Overs/ Bonus' after all. It will have a special contribution from Japan's Golden Eggs tho so that's pretty pimp.

Now as promised, a blog about 'The Great Purge'. The Great Purge is the name I decided to give to my darkness day in combo making history. After spending a good 2-4 hours editting 'Lucky 7' (Part 2). I decided to go back through it and make sure all the combos that I wanted in it were in it. Well in my rush to see the end product put out, I left out my Heihaichi's Stone head- Omen Thunder Godfist ender. This was one of my favorite combos AND one of the harder combos in the video. I got mighty upset I left it out so I pulled it out of my combo folder and put it on the desktop to remind me to put it in the re-made Part 2. At this point, my brain must have shut down because I went on a deleting frenzy. I deleted the video without the combo(all 6/7 minutes of it), I then deleted it off my desktop by clearing my recycling bin (which I usually do once I send something to bin).

I then without thinking deleted all of Part 2's combos on my flash drive (which you can't recover I found out LOL).

Yep, 70 plus combos... recorded over three nights, gone in a flash (no pun intended). One of those combos (Kris' Steve one) wasn't even done by me.

So over the next couple days I re-recorded all the combos (including learning how to do the Steve one because it HAD to be in there) so I could release Part 2. Yes sir. All because of one Hei combo. It's funny now in hindsight but man was I pissed at the time.

The good thing is tho, when I re-did the video I changed a couple things from the original video and I do believe the final product is the best I could have done. It was just a pain in the ass to have to do it all over again.

It was a lesson learned tho, I am now double backing up all my files so I never have to do that again. No more brain farts for me LOL.

Lucky 7 (Part 2): Behind the Visions

Comments and tidbits behind the 2nd Lucky 7 video.

Nin: I am not an Nina user but I am pretty proud of this one. I had to show that the combo only does 6 hits, 77 damage and that when you add the poison breath (which does zero damage), you will get 7 hits, 77 damage.

Bru: Brandon's 2nd contribution to the video. Alot of 777's can be found by doing a high launcher onto a wall, bounding and doing a staple ender as Brandon found out. Good job.

Bry: I really like how Combot aka TRKT aka Kameron's name came out. I actually wish I didn't designed my name tag so earlier because everyone elses that came later seem cooler then mine LOL.

Jac: I spent a good 20 mins trying to get this combo on the Cementary stage and the last hit kept wall carrying and giving me 7 hits, 78 damage ARGGH! I then tried it on Anger of the Earth and got it first go. Combo starter timed with 'fly' part of the song.

Ali: Timed with 'once I get you up there'. One of many staple combos that happen to do 777.

AK: As per Kameron's name, I like how Quentin's name came out. LOL remember when you were maining AK Quen? Yep, back when you found this combo.

Hei: Moku transition FTW. Also I did this with an Xbox 360 pad :-D

Rav: I like unique ways of 'charging up' and this was one of them.

Yos: After letting Yoshi getting beat up all the time in the glitchy stage, I decided to let Yoshi get some action as well. Also a big welcome to Noodlehead aka Tasty Pipi from Indiana. Thanks for your contributions man.

Bru: Hands down one of my favorite 777's. Simply because the fact that I used Bruce's basketball item move and ended it with b+2 aka 'Jesus'.

Rog: Timed with 'Fly' again (for people wondering why I used this song, this is why. It's perfect for launch heavy combo videos). I do like how the first hit broke the wall and the 2nd hit sends Jin flying. Nice one Dave.

Ann: Nice usage of Anna's built in crouch dash Quen.

Kin: Most of King's staple iSW combo do 7 hits, 78 damage or 76 damage. I know, fail LOL This is one of the few iSW enders that do 777.

Bry: Ironically, N0iZE's Bryan 777 combo also ended with ws+3,4. Linkage to the first video.

DJ: Another one of my faves. The lazer out of the unblockable attempt and crouch dash into f,n,d,df+1,uf makes me smile. This combo however shouldn't be a surprise for some because I previously upload it (not direct capture tho).

Bae: Again timed with 'once I get you there' :-) It wasn't easy to get all these combos timed perfectly, trust me.

Fen: This combo is thanks to Tony T from Australia. I saw a combo similar to this one in one of his earlier Feng T6 vids. Also extended chi charge plus item move.

Pau: So many highlights in this one to me. The ws+1,d+1 FB! was nice and the non just frame, just frame ender is pimp.

Yos: Remember when you going to main Yoshi too Quen? LOL

Jac: Again timed with 'fly with me'. I like how you intentionally whiffed the first hit Kam, nice thinking outside the box.

Hwo: In the original part 2 vid (more on that in another blog) this combo was in the 2nd part (i.e I get a Kick out of You). During the editting process tho I decided to put in alot earlier in the video and add it to 'fly' bit.

Ann: Mike's favorite combo with Anna, ironically, this is also the still they used for combo video on UTube. I like how it started and ended the same.

Jac: Another innovative one from Skeez, ws+1,2 Floor Braking was pretty nice.

Yos: Sorry Josh I couldn't get the 'flash' to connect after the 4~3. BTW lol your name is sooo you.

Kaz: I remember seeing a set up similar to this in a very early T6 combo video but it ended differently. BTW this combo is NOT easy.

Yos: LOL took me a second to realize that the first hit post FB! had to be close to a wall.

Mar: Craig air throw ender montage :-D

DJ: Timed with 'kick'. Found this one when I tried to main DJ. Realized constant electrics is too much work without a Xbox controller.

Jin: It's not a coincidence that Jin came on after DJ. Also this combo took me a minute but man was it worth it.

Ste: Steve (a boxer) kicking timed with the song. This stuff writes itself.

Jul: Julia was actually not represented well in both videos and that is really my bad. I should have found some more. I got one more with a funny story for the 'left over' video.

Mig: Any combo with Mig's stomp aka 'The Frankie' has to be in this video. Had the same problem that I had with Jack's one where the last hit wall carried and kept giving me 7 hits, 78 damage.

Bob: Bob's ass ender = instant inclusion. Hope you liked it Bran.

Mok: Mokujin only combo? LOL Drag thinks so. I also have a Moku-Bear only combo that I could never record again after 'The Great Purge'. I might try to record it again for the 'left over' video.

Edd: Ronald McDonald custom FTW!

Chr: Ended with a kick, yep, it's the reason why I used this song.

Fen: Lots of 777 combos were found on Cementary by everybody. It was a long process of elimination on which ones I wanted to use and which ones I would leave out.

Asu: Queen of the 777. Also overall, I had 11 Asuka 777 combos with contributions from me, Sluch and Damon. Girl is Lucky, too bad she can't punish properly lol.

Lee: Boot timed with the song. It works.

Hei: Ahhh this damned combo. This combo is the reason why Part 2 was delayed. More about this in my 'Great Purge' blog but onto this combo. First, different chi charge up. Next, the stone-head does not get a damage boost but the b+3,3 does the Omen Thunder Godfist ender (thanks Helping Hand tutorials lol) clinches the deal.

Bry/Lei: Item move 777's make me very :-D. Also I tried not to use too many transitions during this video but this one called for one.

Kaz: Another combo I previously uploaded. If you read this blog, you know that I originally planned to have this combo timed with an SF X T transition but I decided to not go with it for the final product. Also shout out to 101 Strings- 'I got you under my skin'. I felt they would be appropriate for the 'credits' scene.

Leo: I wish the transition was better. Leo ended with a charge up and went directly into a CH combo. Skeez again finds a different way to FB!

Law: Not timed with a song but look at the song credits :-)

Lil: Final Moku transition combo. Boy, it was a nightmare getting these moku transition combos. Getting a specific character with Mokujin on a specific stage is probably the reason why these transition combo have not been seen before the 777 combos.

Mar: Again, look at the song credits.

Rav: LOL fail. The song credit was surposed to be timed with the df+3.

Yos: Any combo with f,n,d,df+1 = Yessss

Wan: Staple 777, Wanning Moon damage not included.

Pau: LOL I wish I could see a match where Paul's sign item move would hit, let alone be counter hit. Paul had a couple 777's but most of them ended with demo man or demo man into a wall hit so I decided to go with the more unique ones.

Ste: When Kris told me about this one, I knew it had to be last combo in the video. It's just a perfect ender for a unique video. Congrats on find this one Kris.

Well that's that for Part 2. I have one more part planned but this is the 'left over' video so don't expect anything spectacular in that one. I will also do a blog and explain why these combos were left out. I recorded them so I decided to not let them go to waste.

Lucky 7: A Tekken Concept Combo Video (Part 2)

Part 2 is finally here.

It wasn't looking good for a minute due to the 'Great Purge' (more on this in a later blog) but we made it.

Enjoy!

A blog will follow this, with my usual info and tidbits behind the video. Also exclusive to this blog will be a final video, with the left-over combos and reasoning why they were left out.

Jupiter's Cock!

LOL such a colorful cuss word from the wonderful world of Spartacus: Blood & Sand (great show btw).

I really was aiming to release the part 2 of 'Lucky 7' today but I made a massive error that is going to set me back. I am really pissed that I could be so stupid.

With this new news, the video will probably be delayed to early next week.

EXCLUSIVE: King's of 777

Whilst Asuka is the queen of 777 combos (you see alot more of her in Part 2 of 'Lucky 7'), it is without a doubt that the Kings are the Mishima clan (including Jin of course).

I noticed I had a couple excess Mishima combos so I decided to splice them into a montage and viola. King's of 777!

Think of this as an interlude to the main event, 'Lucky 7' (Part 2). Some of these combos will be re-used for the full 'Left-Overs' video and I'll write a blog explaining why they were left out of Parts 1 and 2.

Enjoy!!

P

P.S. Not to brag but I did all these combos with my Xbox 360 controller. Yep, that hunk of junk maybe be horrible for fighters but it is good for EWGF's lol.

Announcement: Xbox LIVE Live

So I've been pretty quiet on my Xbox Live account when it's come to the Tekken. The last one was Xbox Live Sessions 20 and I stopped playing online so much because of a couple reasons.

1) Boosters and Hack Accounts: These guys really took the fun out of Rank battle. Why is it worth getting a nice high rank if people rage quit when they are about to lose and rob you of your well deserved point? Hackers have stolen the top spots and Xbox Live hasn't descredited them (Tho I bet if this was Call of Duty they would definately be more 'up in arms').

2) Lag: I was playing in alot of offline tournaments and the lag affected my offline game because I would start doing easier juggles and eating stuff I shouldn't (low juggle starting sweeps and throws).

3) General douches: People sending hate mail because they suck and didn't know how to play. 'Nuff Said.

However with my direct capture software, I can now capture matches live without having to record it later with my digital camera and also if they rage quit against me, they will remained called out for your bish hashness.

So yes, I'm back, depending on lag and how many people are online.

Beware, the scourge of Xbox Live is reborn.

Lucky 7 (Part 1): Behind the Scenes.

The intro: Speaks for itself, well timed with Dean crooning "How LUCKY can one guy be". From the beginning, me and Kris/ Krono wanted 'Lucky 7' to use lounge/ Rat Pack era music. I figured it would be oddly appropriate for a video about luck since the guys sings about it so much. It seems some people didn't like the different approach and couple contribute to some of the 'dis-likes' the video has gotten.

Zaf: I tried to time the kick in the head with the song and Zaf's up first because of the line in the song "I kissed her and she kissed me".

Kaz: Shout outs to Noize for collaborating with us. Also I originally had your name as Noise lmfao my bad man. I went back in and changed it tho (note to self- keep raw footage next time).

Jac: Skeez's name is in green because he is a troll and he knows it LOL

Rog: Enter the Gecko's name is green as well for obvious reasons. I also stopped the combo prematurely because it wouldn't be 777 if I continued it after the B!

Bae: Timed with the song, sure it's a kick to the crotch but still. Shout outs to Quan/ Daddy Neptune. Holla at me with another combo so you won't be left out of part 2.

Asu: Yah for Damon. One of the ELEVEN Asuka combos we all found together. People say the first hit is not 'guranteed' so that's kind of sucky but it read 777 so I used it. Also Sorry if I didn't do your name as Lord CoCoichi.

Jin: Kick in the head, timed correctly. Crumbs came up with the idea for the Kuma big head combo first, props! oh and notice after the FB! I did a normal electric because a just frame would up the damage and that's a no no.

Mig: This combo actually took me a minute to do. it's the whole hold forward then hold backward aspect I think. Krono's name came out really good too.

Pau: Innovative f,f+4 ender Skeez.

Lei: The first Mokujin ender. It was not seemless tho but I kinda wanted the first one to be kind of raw so it caught people's eye.

DJ: This would have been a Moku ender but it's a nightmare to get Moku DJ, normal DJ and on a specific stage.

Ann: Love how Yoshi disappears into the glitchy background.

Hwo: Not guranteed, but it is a JFSR ender and timed with 'kick'.

AK: Elbow to head... good enough :-)

Kin: Even tho the Wall throw does multiple hits, it still only counts as 1 hit, hence 777.

Asu: Debut of item move 777's. I've been told the db+4,3 is not guranteed but the combo counter said 777 and I just could not resist.

Kum: Strange final resting position and the bear side-steps funny. Skeez represents for all the Bear players.

Rav: Unblockable interupt debut. The combo normal does a paltry amount for 7 hits. Hitting Kuma as he starts his unblockable jacks the damage up to 77.

Wan: Soul Bushido/ Brandon's debut. Originally timed with 'hit's the sky' but got messed up during the editing process.

Lil: Same principle as King's one above, again multiple hits from the throw but they only count as one. Nice find Sluch.

Kum: I freaking love how Skeez was able to put uf+3+4 in a combo. Very innovative.

Bru: He can do 77 damage, no bound, no walls. Pretty retarted.

Law: I try to use as many unique 'chi' charges as I could. You will see more unique ways to charge up in Part 2.

Leo: That ender was the money shot for me.

Nin: The seemless Mokujin edit. Kind of proud of this one. Hopefully I'll get more like this in Part 2.

Bry: Lucky fella (for people who think 'That's Amore' wasn't appropriate for Lucky 7 here is you reason why I choose it). The double knee ender is pimp so I had to repeat it.

Yos: Found this by accident when I was mucking around with Yoshi as a sub main. The other two Yoshi combos are much better tho hence why they are saved for Part 2.

Lar: HIS ON FIRE!!!

Lucky 7: A Concept Combo Video

And it's finally here.

I am exhausted from doing a PR run on SRK/ TZ so I won't be posting too much in this blog. Plus if you been reading my blog, you'll know how big this is.

Part 1 is here and I'll do a more detailed write up with my thoughts very soon.

Right now tho, I'm going to bed.

Infernal: Devil Jin 777

Kind of ironic that I just finished playing Dante's Inferno (pretty good game) and now I am using Devil Jin lol.

Anyway, keeping the buzz going for 'Lucky 7' here is another brand new combo. This combo took me a minute to figure out but I knew it would work.

As the youtube video says, I have to thank my good friend, Dave aka Enter the Gecko. Playing him in casuals with DJ I was 'stylin' on him with f,n,d,df+1,uf combo enders. I decided then to find a 777 combo using that move and viola.

This video also shows off the titles I will be using. Since I have a tons of colloborators for this one, these titles are definately required.

More to come as we lead up to the release of 'Lucky 7'

On and yes, this isn't an exclusive combo to my blog unlike my most recent ones. I really wanted Dave to see it so I had to upload it to youtube and then I realized I haven't uploaded a video in a minute so I said what the Hell (no pun intended) and share it with everybody.

What's to Come

So a couple months ago I promised that Lucky 7: A Tekken Concept Combo Video would be done by Power Up 2011. Unfortunately that was too ambitious of a goal. I recorded alot of footage but it was 'ghetto' style (i.e camera in front of the television). A couple weeks ago, I found out what I believe was a method to record directly and take my final Tekken combo video to the next level. I deleted most of the footage I captured thinking I would no longer need it, unfortunately I didn't do enough research and all I got is cords to display my laptop on my hd tv (looks great tho!)

I am now waiting for a pay day (5th Ranbat can't come soon enough) before I can actually get the equipment I need. I am resolute tho, if this video is not going to be direct recorded it won't be recorded.

So there it is, an update to why Lucky 7 isn't done. I appreciate the patience and believe me it'll be worth the wait. Also I will be delaying 'Helping Hand' episodes until I get the direct capture as well.

I really want this collaboration to really shine and I believe giving it any less of a stellar showing is not acceptable. I might update this blog with another bonus video tho, just to keep the hype going.

777 Update

So I'm afraid to anounce that that 'Lucky 7's release date of Power Up 2011 was a bit ambitious. It is no longer going to come out on the weekend of the biggest tournament in Cincy/ N. Ky/ Dayton, it will however come out not that soon after.

However this delay is because I'm going to make a major change to the video and I will unveil the change and explain why it's been delayed very soon.

Keep your eyes peeled.

EXCLUSIVE: Editing & 777

Kazuya rips Ken oops Paul a new one lol. One of the cool things about this combo is it's still a 777 but I intentionally have the first two hits blocked to get the last two hits to connect and wall splat. Thinking outside the box which 'Lucky 7' is going to have a lot of.

Now one of my favorite combo videos of all time is 'Project Headhunter' by the E-ninja's clan (unfortunately it's not on Utube anymore so I can't show it off). Not only were the combos awesome, the editing was on another level. Since that video I've been trying to edit something among that level. I think in all honesty it's why I haven't enjoyed most recent combo videos. The art of editing a good video has gone out the window and people are just slapping together some nice combos with no concept or purpose for the song they selected.

Well with 777 I hope to buck the trend of under editing vids for what maybe my final T6 project. Also let it be know that a video can be over-edited as well and that looks just as bad if not worse.

Also the first part of the video is from the new Street Fighter x Tekken cinematic trailer. I enjoyed the trailer immensely tho I am unsure if this will be cannon (Nina working side by side with Kaz when she is actually Jin's bodyguard in T6?!?). The game itself looks a little rough around the edges but it looks like it might be fun. I hope each Tekken character have more appropriate Ultra's tho because the one they showed for Nina was kinda lame.

Also I was aiming to release 'Lucky 7' around Power Up but I am unsure if it'll be ready due to some new information. Stay tuned!

EXCLUSIVE: Mokujin's role in Lucky 7

Personally to me Mokujin is one of the most innovative characters in all of fighting games. I mean a wooden person that can take on the move set of everyone in the game? That's pretty cool.

I'm happy they have kept Mokujin since Tekken 5 because Combot was such a fail. I mean the fun of Mokujin is the fact that he changes style nearly ever round (I say nearly because I rem: one tournament where I got Moku-Ling 3 times in a row... yes, wtf?). Combot only changed his style once a match, which was nowhere near as fun.

Also unlike Dural from Virtua Fighter or Raidou from DOA, Mokujin is not a pastiche of all the best characters moves but more of a chameleon that evolves from round to round. It's a sure sign of a talented gamer who can use Mokujin competently. With the advent of Tag 2 around the corner, one can only wonder if Moku will be able to change characters after tagging out like he was able to in the original Tag. If so, I can only imagine the new combo opportunities.

Anyhow, onto to Mokujin's role in the 777 combo video. As this video illustrated, Moku's role is going to be taking over and finishing the combos of other characters. It might start with the original combo do-er but it'll merge into a Mokujin ender. I think it'll be a cool visual effect if used properly and I am looking forward to using it. I am actually surprised no-one has done this before so I think this might go down well with the masses.

On a related note: I found out something today that might take the Lucky 7 video to the next level. I was really excited for this video before, now, if this works out, I am going to be ecstatic.

EXCLUSIVE: The Art of the Interupt

As promised, Apocryphic Videos continues to brings you exclusive content. Here is a short video, mostly un-edited to illustrate the art of the unblockable interupt.

A trick I used during my death combo video series, interupting an opponent's un-blockable can give you a small to real big damage increase.

As the three combos show, interupting Steve's un-blockable at certain points of the move can give you a damage increase of up to 8 damage if you wait long enough. I only needed a increase (which can not be obtained via normal counter hit status) to get the 77 damage mark so I interupted the un-blockable pretty early.

The first combo is the latest you can interupt the un-blockable and nets a whooping 80 dmg, The second is a little earlier then the previous but still late and it increases the combo to 79, the final one is an early interupt and gets the required 77 damage.

Using this technique you can take combos that are 7 hits, 72 damge up to 77. Pretty helpful and since the 'Lucky 7' video is all about 7 hits, 77 damage with no restrictions I definately don't feel guilty using an interupt to hit the target.

More tidbits, sneak peeks and more to come.

P

P.S I also update my side-bar with a projected date for the next 'Helping Hand'... I am going to aim to release a 'Helping Hand' every month on the same day until the conclusion of the series.

'Lucky 7: A Tekken Concept CV' Trailer

Much promised, much talked about. The long gestating Lucky 7 combo video is official on it's way.

I really wanted to go the old skool approach with this one, sticking with a theme me and Kris (Krono) discussed ages ago. The video is all about Luck so we decided Frank Sintra/ Rat Pack/ lounge music would be appropriate. It was used in the interlude that I upload ages ago and it'll definately be apart of the final project as well.

In regards to the actual music, it's pretty self explanitory, the best really is yet to come with alot more crazy, unique 777 combos. Plus it will not be just me but it'll include nearly every Tekkenite in Cincy/ Dayton/ N. Ky and Columbus.

One thing people might not notice tho is that I used James Darren, who played Vic Fontaine in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, hands down my favorite Star Trek series of all time.

Enjoy... we are only getting started!

Happy First of April!

Okay LOL I won't lie, this is not what I originally had planned for according to my last post. But since it's April Fools' Day, I could not resist doing it. I orginally planned to release a MvC 3 combo video but time got away from me and I wasn't really doing any spectacular so I decided to wait till I actually own the game. This idea for a April Fools' Combo video using stupid combos from MK vs DC has gestated in my head for awhile tho and I'm happy I was able to execute it on the day. Now don't take offense... I'm not making fun of MK vs DC... well much. Seriously however, the game just had to be made fun of, I mean the animations and some of the combos alone just needed to be taken the piss out of (to use an old Aussie saying... it means make fun of). I actually wanted to do more but I think I got my message across with the stuff I recorded. If I had more time I would have love to have stuck in Kano's 'Fatality' (yep in inverted comma's) That was one of the worse fatalities of ALL time... no joke. Speaking of joke, it was almost kismet that the last combo was the Joker glitch where you only have to do the last two hits of the challenge combo to get a 'Success' instead of having to do the whole ridicolous combo they asked you to do. I mean Joker, April Fools? This stuff writes itself. Now the combos at the end are dead serious tho. I am putting my foot to the floor and trying to crank out a combo project that has long been sitting on the shelf. The Lucky 7 combo video will be done by Power Up... this I promise everyone. I think it'll be a nice good bye to T6 combo making for me and it ends with everyone contributing as well. Some other bonus directors' cut stuff. Of course I had to use some epic music, it suited the combo video theme so well. I originally intended to use the so over-used Techno remix of Mortal Kombat that everyone has used to death but I changed my mind at the last minute. LOL Epic music/ Epic combo... yes I have delusions of granduer, don't we all? I also wanted to use 'All the Lights' by Kanye but I settled on 'Amazing' mainly because I don't have 'All of the Lights' on my wife's lap top LOL fail. 'Amazing' worked tho and still fit. Finally, this is the first video I made purely with AVS. I have been using Windows Media Maker for the longest time and my wife has wanted me to use AVS a lot more instead of just for titles. The transitions are very very nice, especially the puzzle piece one so I will be using AVS alot more. Also I haven't mastered all of it's tweaks and one of them is fading music at the end, the cut is abrupt and I apologize for that. Well back to recording... 777 isn't going to get itself done by me sitting here. P

Don't Sleep...

So most people know Apocryphic Videos is the place where I share my videos. Sure I have my youtube page but I feel this is where I really like my videos to be seen. Directors' cuts only exist on this blog, Exclusives only on this blog.

Most of them are Tekken related however now and again I branch out and try something new and different.

Well people, something new and different is coming pretty soon.

A Tale of Two Trailers (part two)

And this is the final cut.

I am extremely happy with how it came out. The music is so intergal to this video.
I felt Daft Punk brought another level and with the tournament taking place at Arcade Legacy
a bonafide Arcade a song from Tron Legacy only fitted even better.

All the main games are given a quick spotlight. Unlike the original I made this move a quick faster.
I cut out the bit with Iron man at the beginning (with the name of the super) cause I felt it distracted from the video. The Super cut I feel is better too, the eye transition which most people would miss but I put it in there plus Juri's super does focus on her eye when she goes into that mode. Also the quick sepia-tone was a nice touch I thought.

The Tekken part was no brainer, I felt Kazuya watching a monitor is a lot like us watching the trailer. It ended with Lars and I performed the Lars combo to accompany it. I also felt it ended sweet with Lars punching a opponent away from him and it segues into Scorpion pulling an opponent to him and the thumbnail Youtube choose for this video is PERFECT.

It ended with the other games which are going to be played and some nice information about our venue.
I think being able to play on Arcade cabinets, catering and plenty of parking is a great draw for a tournament.

Big thanks to Nathan/ Osirun for letting me do this. I really enjoyed contributing to the greatest that is going to be Power Up 2011.

P

A Tale of Two Trailers (part one)

Here is the original trailer for Power Up 2011. I had this trailer in mind since Power Up 2011 was announced and really wanted to contribute some hype to my local tournament.

Being the original I had some ideas which I really wanted to see and sounded great on paper but didn't seem so hot in execution. The main thing I decided to change was the spinning/ xbox 360 logo for Power Up. I liked it but in the end I felt that I was overloading people with logos so I decided to simpify it for the final cut.

One of the things I really liked about the original trailer that I could not keep was the sync-ing of the Juri combo with the rising tempo of the song. As I made changes the song had to be shortened so it doesn't occur in the same place in the final cut.

I also had to put the website http://www.powerupfighters.com at the end as well.

Also in a strange turn of events, me and my fellow trailer creator Kameron completed the trailers around the same time, uploaded them around the same time and also both use Daft Punk songs from Tron Legacy... lol. More to follow in the part two

Watch this space!

So I've been in the lab creating a epic trailer for Power Up 2011.

Power Up 2011 is a tournament that is going down in my hometown of Ohio and I'll be there to help run Tekken as well as participate in the Tekken 5 on 5 as well as the Tekken singles tournament.

I need a final okay from Power Up's organizer Osirun and once I get it, I'll post it up.

Trust me, it's worth the wait!

Helping Hand: Yoshi's Poison Breaths

Woo hoo. Another new 'Helping Hand'! This one is a little longer then most mainly because I snuck in a extra one plus it was impossible to find a 'cool' combo with the plain Poison Breath.

One of the tributes is I used a song from S.U.N group and it's techno which is really really not my fave genre but it fit so well plus my fave Yoshi combo video by KYSG used S.U.N group and it fit so well so I decided to use the group again.

Also a big change for 'Helping Hand' is the fact that I am filming footage off my HD TV now and it looks noticeable better. Hopefully with HD filming I won't get the random black bar of doom.

LOL the only real drawback is I am now going to re-record alot of Apocalypse Now with better capturing so it's going to be delayed a little longer. I still need an epic song anyway.

P

Damn WMG

So 'Apocalypse Now' my final (yep I'm putting it out there) combo video for T6 is in it's rough draft state. I have a couple more combos to record, some more editing and fine tuning but it's coming together very nicely.

I even had a rough draft which I was prepared to share with a select few of my friends. Then B-S struck. The song which I picked, which is perfect for 'Apocalypse Now' was music claimed by Warner Music Group (WMG) before the first view.

I now have to re-do it with a brand new song in mind. It's really frustrating and it's kind of killed my enthusiasm for the project for a minute.

The only good thing to come out of this is that Apocryphic Videos will now have the directors cut upload on the same day I upload the YouTube cut and I'll be directing everyone to this one so hopefully it'll get more traffic on this blog.

Well back to work.

Helping Hand: Heihaichi's Omen Thunder Godfist

So we had a slight pause and my holiday trip away from videos became a long stay. It's all over now because 'Helping Hand' is back for the New Year!

Hei's OTG (it just sounds cool when you read it like that) is arguably one of the hardest moves to do in Tekken. It's fickle requirement of 1 frame makes it a really showy move when it's perform in matches and combo videos. This video teaches you how to do it and you can be awesome too LOL.

Also as a special exclusive to follows of this blog, I am going to let you in on a little secret. The next 'Helping Hand' is not going to be a month or 2 months away. Not even 2 weeks. How about 1 week. Yep, I made you a promise now so I best keep it. Stay Tuned.

Double Dose of AV

So after a short break, AV is back with a double dose of videos.

First is the last Xbox Live Sessions for a minute. I'm currently not online so no new sessions will be uploaded for a minute. This one is a continuation of Xbox Live Sessions 18.

Second is a brand new Helping Hand. This time we are focusing on one of the hardest move in Tekken, Hei's Omen Thunder Godfist.

Also no promises but some new stuff will be premiering on this blog very soon. Both of them are from extreme left-field and might surprise some people.

P
