Behind the Visions: Ash-ole: Ash Combo Video
Been a minute since I have done a Behind the Visions. I actually didn't do one for my previous KOF XIII video 'Mad Fantasy' simply because I feel like it didn't need one. It was pretty straight forward, I'm going for damage video. 'Ash-ole' has some little nuances tho which I'll like to point out.
Iori: Double troll here, first Ash is cos-playing as Iori and second he uses his own flames against him. So what would Ash do. I felt it tied in perfectly with the intro too.
Betty: Same opening, different follow ups. If person starts blocking low, jump in overhead. If person block high, come in with a low (not shown: if person does a roll, wait for them to roll into the genie and grab :D)
Yuri: I like the sepia tone I used when Ash did his qcb, hcf+ 2 punch super and the fact it went away as soon as the move was done. I didn't even need to edit that, it did it on it's own. I do like the visual look of that desperation move tho so I might keep the color when I remix this video.
Kyo: Rocking Ash's joker look (ironically Ash's theme is called 'The Second Joker') and showing the combo possibilities off his jump C+D counter hit. My aim here was to abuse his qcfx2 + P Desperation Move (DM) as much as possible as well hence the Big Green Ball line.
Saiki: Perfect combo to segue into Saiki's segment. Notice Ash is wearing Saiki's color and Saiki is wearing Ash's color. I know the combo after his Install DM was scaled heavily but it was more about style at that point.
Bonus: I thought that was nice way to move from Ash to Saiki with that animation.
Maxima: Trolling again, I made sure Saiki was wearing the same colors as his opponent. Also combo off his teleport was something I haven't seen before so I wanted to showcase that.
Goro: I knew people would say "you'll never get his qcfx2 P on a opponent like that" so I decided to dizzy my opponent first. There is no subterfuge either, I put it out there that stun was set to 55 which is more then half for most of the cast, I also purposely didn't use any meter in the dizzy combo so I could use it for the post dizzy combo. Saiki is also doing his best Remy from Third Strike impression as well.
Ash: Reverse trolling on my previous Ash combo. Saiki is now the one doing the combo but it's on the same stage which links it to the previous one. This combo I wanted to see how many qcb+B, qcf+ A I could do in a row. Turn out to be three with the correct spacing.
Music: I decided to go with 'The Second Joker' because of the whole Ash-ole theme. I am thinking of remixing this video with some longer combos and different song tho. It'll also be a little bit 'darker' and less troll happy.
I think this video has people confused to be honest. Maybe they didn't like the title or the troll aspect of it but I'm pretty happy that this video stays true to Ash's nature. His a pretentious antagonizing antagonist and that's how I like him

Bastion Walk-through.
Pretty soon thanks to Bing Rewards and Xbox Live I'll be playing Bastion for FREE.
To celebrate I'll be doing an active walk-through and commentary. This will be the first time I have branched outside of fighting game videos so wish me luck people. I just downloaded the trail and I enjoy it so I'm looking forward to playing the game proper.
Plus it's named after my son, Bastion Imani Pham so that is pretty cool as well. Here is the trailer

My Best 5 Game Trailers of the Year
As readers of this blog know, I am a massive gamer. Inspired by IGN's best trailers of the year I have decided to do my own list. So here we go:
5. Indie Games Summer Uprising Trailer:
Tons of great indie games done to awesome chip-tunes. It worked too because I went out and brought 'Doom & Destiny' and got a trail of most of them.
4. King of Fighters XIII Trailer:
I always loved the KOF series but I didn't play the last couple mainly due to lack of interest. When XIII was first announced at the arcade I was hyped and as we got closer to the console release I got even more excited.
3. Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 Full Trailer:
If I already did not wanted this game, this would have done it for me. The epic music, the art style, all the characters in action. My only gripe is the lack of Storm in the trailer but eh, that is a minor blemish on a masterpiece of hype. The original Marvel vs Capcom 3 full trailer was also great but I wanted to be fair and not flood the top 5 with just 'one' game.
2. Transformers: Fall of Cyberton Trailer:
I'm a massive fan of the original Transformers tho I love the movies too (unlike some people). I was stupid excited to see this trailer tho because it uses the original designs but had a movie feel. To top it off we have Grimlock, my favorite Transformer of all time to end it in style. Whilst I felt the music was a bit too close to the feel that Gears of War evoked, it's still awesome.
1. Dead Island Launch Trailer:
This trailer truly blew my mind. It was so artistic, so poetic and so emotionally draining. The music reminded me of some of the best scenes in 'Lost', the twist and how it was cut. It made me want all trailers to be THIS good. It's a shame the game wasn't as epic but it had mighty big shoes to fill, especially after this.
Well Happy New Year everybody, I hope 2012 has just as many great trailers and games!

He Mad! Hulk Tips & Tricks
Welcome to an ongoing research into Hulk's tips and tricks in Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3.
The title is actually a play on the known saying 'u mad', I thought it was funny.
Utilizing the anytime throw tech bug/ glitch, Hulk can abuse Gamma Quake to make himself safe from most punishes. Since Hulk's hypers are not affected by 'mashing' after you commit to the Gamma Quake simply hold forward and tap heavy multiple times. Now Hulk will break any throw attempt and in some cases if the person tries to throw you late, the Gamma Quake will still hit them and even if they block they'll still be forced to eat the chip damage you intended them to eat.
Now be careful throwing this out on people with invincible hypers and the anytime throw tech bug/ glitch will probably be patched out soon so enjoy it will you can.
More tips and tricks to come.
